LORDSTOWN, Ohio - The bankruptcy filing this week of a second U.S. electric vehicle startup is not expected to impact Foxconn's manufacturing operations in Lordstown Township, Ohio, the Taiwanese contract manufacturer said on Wednesday. IndiEV Inc., the Costa Mesa, California-based EV startup, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday. A year ago, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd., better known as Foxconn, tentatively agreed to manufacture prototypes of IndiEV's electric crossover vehicle, the Indi One, at its Lordstown plant.
